    Abstract

This project is developed for the blind peoples to identify their bus through voice alert system using Zigbee. It consists of two modules called user module and bus stand module. The user module consists of microcontroller unit, FM receiver and zigbee transducer. The bus stand module consists of zigbee transducer, microcontroller unit and FM transmitter When the blind person gets inside the bus stand, he searches the bus by pressing a switch in his module. The microcontroller sends a data through zigbee transducer. The other zigbee transducer connected in the bus stand module receives the data and searches for the particular bus. Accordingly it sends the voice data through FM transmitter. The FM receiver connected with the user module receives the voice data. Thus the blind person hears the bus information through his head set. This project is very useful for blind people to identify their bus in the bus stand. The microcontroller used in this project is PIC 16F73. The microcontroller program is written in assembly language.
