    GPRS Based Industrial Motor Safety Controller


    Abstract

    In Industries, when the machine is in running mode, some machinery parts will be very dangerous. Sometimes, user may un expectedly touch the parts and will affect them. To avoid this, safety controller can be set. It consists of three parts. Sensors, Motor and Controller, GPRS Mobile. Sensors (IR transducer) are connected at the particular area of the Motor which will cause damage. If anyone un expectedly move their hands near the part, the sensor senses and sends signal to the microcontroller. The microcontroller sends signal to the PC through serial port. The Software in the PC communicates with the internet and sends the message to the particular IP address. Thus the administrator can easily handle the situation. Since this project prevents the user from harmful attack, this will be very useful in Industries. The microcontroller program is written in assembly language, and the microcontroller used is PIC16F73.
