    PEDAL OPERATED POWER GENERATOR


    Abstract

    The project entitled Pedal controlled Power generator is used to generate electric power through pedal operation. The main parts in this project are Pedal, Rack and pinion, Fly wheel, Generator, Battery and Inverting circuit. The pedal is connected with the Rack and pinion setup so that when the pedal is pressed, the Rack moves and thereby operating the Rack. This linear motion operates the pinion to rotate. The fly wheel is connected with the pinion. Thus along with the pinion, the fly wheel is rotated. The Generator is connected with the fly wheel. When the pedal is pressed, the generator will be operated. According to Faraday’s law, “As long as there is a change in magnetic flux linked with the coil, an emf is induced.” So, In each and every rotation, electricity is generated. This electricity is stored in a rechargeable Battery. The battery is connected with the Inverter board. The inverter supplies the electric power in case of power failures. Thus there is an alternate flow of electricity. Since this uses no fuel, this is very cheap and best.
