    BUTTON OPERATED GEAR SHIFTING MECHANISM


    Abstract

    This project is developed for the users to change the gear in electronic manner. The main parts are Gear mechanism, Press buttons, Gear slider, Linear actuator, fly wheel, Electronic circuit, gear motor etc. The gear slider is connected with the gear mechanism. The gears are fixed with the main and additional shafts. The gear motor is connected with the gear mechanism. The transmission of the gear mechanism is connected with the fly wheel. The gear slider is connected with a Linear actuator so that when the linear actuator is activated, the slider can be operated. When the accelerator is pressed, the fly wheel starts running. When the press button (up) is pressed, the electronic circuit actuates the linear actuator. Thus the gear is shifted to next level. When the press button (down) is pressed, the actuator operates in the reverse direction and thus the gear is shifted to the previous level. Thus using the press buttons, the gear can be shifted from one another.
