    MOTORIZED WHEEL CHAIR


    Abstract

    In hospitals, patients who cannot walk themselves use wheel chairs. But they may need other’s help when they use the wheel chair. Also they have to operate the wheel chair with their own hand. This requires more energy and thus the patient may by weak. This project is designed for the wheel chair operations using voice recognition. The user can operate the wheel chair through voice commands. The main modules in this project are microphone, PC, microcontroller, motorized wheel chair and Battery. The kit will understand the user’s voice and commands. When the user commands like go, stop etc., the voice recognition software may identify the need of the patient. The microcontroller operates the wheel motor accordingly. Thus the patient can easily move with the help of voice controlled wheel chair.
