    DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF SOLAR AIR COMPRESSOR


    Abstract

    This project is used to produce compressed air with the help of Solar power. The main parts in this project are Solar panel, Battery, Motor with gear, reciprocating rod, Cylinder and piston arrangement, one way Valves and delivery tubes. The solar panel is connected with the battery. The solar panel converts solar power into electric power. The electric power is stored in the battery. The motor with gear setup is connected with the fly wheel. When the motor is switched on, the fly wheel will be rotating with constant speed and thus it operates the reciprocating rod move to and fro accordingly. A piston is connected with the reciprocating rod so that the piston moves to and fro inside the cylinder simultaneously. A one way valve is connected with the cylinder so that the air can come in and not go out. One end of the delivery tube is connected with the valve so that the air should come out and not come in. When the motor is rotated, there is a continuous flow of air in the delivery tube.
