    AUTO EXTENDING BUMPER


    Abstract

    The main objective of the project is to avoid accidents in vehicles by using this auto extending bumper. If this bumper is kept at the front side of the vehicle the accident is reduced. It works with the help of a pneumatic mechanism. The front side of the vehicle is fitted with the sensor. The bumper in the front side is fixed with a pneumatic cylinder. The air to the cylinder is stored in an air tank with the help of compressor. The air to the cylinder is passed through the solenoid valve. This method is one of the advanced method to avoid heavy accidents. In this method the sensor acts as a main part since this only reduces the accidents. This method can reduce the accident effort with less damage. In existing vehicle this can be easily modified. This method doesn’t require high cost to fabricate. If this method is implemented in all vehicle all the accidents will be avoided and if accident occurs means also it will be minor accident only.
