    FABRICATION OF METAL DECALENDARING MACHINE


    Abstract

    This project deals with the design and the fabrication of the calendar machine. Calendaring is a finishing process used on cloth, paper, or plastic film. A calendar is employed, usually to smooth, coat or thin a material. With textiles, fabric is passed under rollers at high temperatures and pressures. Calendaring is used on fabrics such as moire to produce its watered effect and also on cambric and some types of sateens. The machine used for the calendaring operation is usually known as the calendar machine. There are many machine used for the calendaring operation readily available in the market. But these machines are either high in cost or need skilled operators to operate which are the reasons for which these machines cannot be afforded by a common man. We propose a new idea of calendaring machine which contains simple components and also the cost of the machine is less. These advantages make this project more feasible.
