    SMART SHOCK ABSORBERS FOR AUTOMOBILE


    Abstract

    Automobiles and trucks have shock absorbers to damp out the vibration experienced due to roughness of the roads. However, energy in conventional shock absorber gets dissipated as heat and it is not use in anyway. We know that in conventional vehicle suspension dissipates the mechanical vibration energy in the form of heat which considerable waste energy. If the vibration energy can be recovered and converted to other form of energy so as to supply for other devices, then the aim of eco-friendly energy saving is reach. And this energy is used to charge the battery and this stored energy is used for different vehicle accessories. The main objective of this project is to fabricate a smart shock absorber for automobile. In this method a new method of shock absorber is used. In the existing vehicle they have used suspension and fluid methods to absorb the shock but in this method we have used pneumatic method to absorb the shock. This can be easily implemented in all four wheelers. This requires very less cost to fabricate. This can be easily fitted in old vehicles also.
