Medicine Validity Checker

Abstract

Medicine validity checker is an android application which is used to check the expiry of the medicine using the description mentioned in the medicine. Most of the people are unaware about the expiry of the medicine and its health issues. Thus due to the intake of the expired medicine it leads to severe health issues. In order to overcome this problem medicine validity checker application is used. The validity of the medicine is checked by scanning the barcode in the medicine using the barcode scanner. From the scanned image of the barcode the application checks the validity date of the medicine. Based on the validity (expiry) of the medicine the app sends a message (whether to use the medicine or not) to the user.

Existing System

Many people in the world suffer a lot and it also leads to death. In the existing system, the process are performed in manual way. If the user want to know about the validity of the medicine they need to check in the cover of the medicine. Then only they know the medicine validity date.

Proposed System

In the proposed system, the admin enter the medicine details by using their username and the password. The admin enter the new medicine details in the system then they modify the medicine list and then the details are stored in the database. The consumer register their details in the app. Then the consumer order the medicines, if the medicines are not needed by the consumer then they can cancel the order The medicine validity checker scan the medicines and the expiry date are provided.
