ONLINE QUIZ MASTER GAME-Mini

Abstract

Online Quiz Master software was developed to measure innate intellectual ability. Online quizzes are a popular form of entertainment for web surfers. Online quizzes are generally free to play and for entertainment purposes. Quiz is one of the most common eLearning patterns for many of the online course. Online quiz master game is a simple question and answer game designed in Android Studio. Here the user can play the game by selecting number of questions and field of questions to be asked with different difficulty levels. In this game various categories such as general knowledge, music, TV, sports etc., are added in the app by the game developer / admin. Under various categories many multiple choice questions are added in the app under 3 difficulty levels. By using the app the player can attend many quizzes by number of questions, selecting the categories and difficulty level the player can play the game. At the end of the game a report will be generated which include number of questions, number of wrong and correct answers. The player can also change the setting i.e., sound setting.

Existing System

In the existing system the quiz are conducted using paper and pen format. The existing system is very time consuming. In the existing system, the quiz conducting person will distribute the questions to the player and the player needs to choose the correct answer from the choices given. At the end of the exam the invigilator needs to collect the answer sheet and validate the paper in the manual way. Here the chance of paper leakage is more in current system as compared to proposed system. Result processing takes more time as it is done manually. Keeping the information in the form of hard-copied documents is very difficult.

Proposed System

Online quiz master game was developed in Android and SQLite database. In this gaming app, the admin or game developer will add the questions (MCQ) in the app under various categories and difficulty levels. The difficulty levels include easy, medium and hard levels. The various categories include TV, movies, music, sports, general knowledge etc., these questions are stored in the database. When a user/player wishes to play the game, the user needs to select the number of questions, categories and difficulty levels. The player needs to select the number of questions. Based on the category and difficulty level chosen, the questions will be displayed to the player in the app. The number of MCQ questions will depend on the number of questions chosen by the player. At the end of the game, a report will be displayed to the player. The report contains the details such as total number of questions, correct answers and wrong questions. The player can also set the sound effect of the game.
